I've been using both ChatGPT and Claude for a month straight for my entire software project. I've noticed that AI is deceptive. At first glance it seems like a miracle, but as you continue using it you begin to see the cracks that turn into huge issues.
To be perfectly honest, I don't believe AI has improved my productivity at all simply because of the amount of time I have to backtrack and fix issues AI introduced into my code. What's worse is that even when it fixes old issues, it will almost always create a new one.
Ultimately I feel like I'm playing wack-a-mole with AI. It is extremely frustrating to solve a complex problem, only for the same problem to re-emerge days later because AI broke it while fixing something else.
