The reason we need to be polite when dealing with ai or scripted bots is that when we’re not polite it slowly erodes our behaviour by reinforcing decisions to have poor discourse that can overflow from ai to genuine human interactions.
For our own benefit we should’ve kind as much as as for the benefit of others.
