All of these AI company CEOs and researchers are all "WE NEED TO BE CAREFUL!" while doing the exact opposite. At least on the part of the corporate execs, it is all performative. They don't care. They just want money in the now. If it kills everyone later is unimportant. This is how modern capitalism works.
I don't even think corporate execs care about their own families anymore.
