Around the 36-minute mark, Nate talks about how AI has learned the formula for humor, which is not something easy to code, or for comedians to even explain--but i don't think this is correct. I am NOT an expert on this, but I do remember taking a college linguistics class and my professor speaking about how Humor is formulaic in its construction of language, and it is possible to explain humor because there is a logic to it (even random/silly/brain rot humor, which you could explain as being an intentional subversion of that same logic) - so there may be an argument here that AI is well-equipped to understand and generate humor since it is built to understand language and the same linguistic logic which makes humor possible. I bet there is probably some good academic literature out there that could speak more on this. Great interview btw. Love this channel.
