UBI will never happen. If you create a UBI, people in power will use it to maintain power. Imagine a world where your income is completely decided by the government. That's literal communism.
If companies become so well optimized that we no longer need people to do the work, those people will need to own a piece of the companies that are benefiting from AI to be able to maintain a modern standard of living.
If you don't own assets in these companies, you and your genetics will be separated from those that do own assets. You'll be treated like an animal.
