Im not physically disabled but i am mentally disabled, and disabled people have such an important voice that a lot of us share in art and it is disgusting that AI bros are trying to devalue that. There are so many physically disabled artists who find ways to work with their disability and still make art. My best friend likes to draw but it hurts their hands so most of the art they do is fiber arts, it doesnt stop them from making art, they just do things a bit differently and still create almost every day. A lot of my work is about my disability, and I know that a lot of physically disabled artists also feel that their disability impacts their artistic voice. AI doesn't have an artistic voice. The AI bros saying that "AI is a way for disabled people to make art" feels like a way to try to silence our expressing our experience of being disabled through art.
