where are the govt utility regulators when these deals to buy electricity directly from the power producers is happening? I thought everyone had to buy on the open market? how do they get a sweetheart deal and the public has to pay the market rate? The public is getting screwed. electricity prices are going up because of the huge demand these data centers are putting on the grid and nobody is watching?
