OMG!! This guy is an actual moron. They already doing this in several companies. They are looking at perfecting this literally within the next 5 years to max 10 years. The short driver from distribution center to distribution center. Wal-mart, Target and a few places have already started. Yes they have a driver with it just in case emergencies. But other than that the trucks on short drives. They literally drive themselves. I actually saw it first hand. No Joke.... Now long haul they are roughly about 5 to actually 10 years unless they figure out the solution to it for long hauls. One idea was a teledriver. Which means the only time the driver takes over is if the road is not clear of snow mostly. That will literally boost the companies bottom line by $50 billion plus. They are not even going to tell a trucker the truth. They will literally spring it on you a the last minute as many many other companies do. Just like McDonald's just purchased an AI / Automation company. They plan on becoming the first fast food chain to go automated by 2021 or 2022.
