While I agree that AI art shouldn't be copyright protected, your reasoning is way off and displays a lack of understanding of how Ai image generation works. It's a very intricate process of fine-tuning the base models (which requires deep understanding of machine learning and sometimes weeks of work curating datasets) and then optimizing your workflow, from learning what prompts even work, to masking, inpainting, detailing, upscaling, post-processing, which are all highly manual tasks. A proper, release-worthy AI image takes hours of work and months or years of experience and staying up-to-date with the tech behind it.
According to the logic in this video, you couldn't copyright a photo that has a filter slapped on top of it, because the filter wasn't made by you. You also couldn't copyright any software at all - after all, you're just giving instructions to a compiler via code, just like you just give instructions to an image generator via prompts and workflows. It's silly.
