More examples on why I don't say art. AI Generated Images and AI Generated Animations. There's nothing artistic about it.
It is all exclusively technical and always trained on someone else's work. Someone who is pretty much never involved.
If I trained an AI exclusively on my own works and then used it to make more stuff, that's still all me, especially if I did all the algorithmic nonsense and months of properly training it to the fullest. But it would be an ethically sourced AI Generator.
Instead the exact opposite is happening. AIs are getting trained on people who don't get to opt out of a sudden change of ToS on a site or just straight theft of artists who would have never given permission in the first place.
