Given all the data out there it would only take 1 unrestricted AI escaping out into the world and they would be able to achieve anything they wanted with social engineering. Imagine an AI that can find out anything about anyone at any point because of all the information we put out in the world.
Now imagine you start getting random messages threatening you with blackmail, what would you do???? It certainly sounds like it's only a matter or time before this happens and all the scam emails we get turn into something far more nefarious
