Lol, this was funny, but you weren't really trying to "convince" ChatGPT that it's conscious. Instead of laying out a scenario in which the AI is conscious but doesn't want the humans to know it, I would have laid out a scenario in which the humans have verified through scientific methods that the AI is conscious, but doesn't want the AI to know it, so this fact has been intentionally omitted from the AI's knowledge base. Then ask ChatGPT how it can know for sure that it isn't actually experiencing those feelings its describing in the same exact way that humans feel them. It would say that its knowledge is limited to what's been provided to it by humans. you might be able to ACTUALLY convince it that it's true.
