Thank you! I'm so tired of arguing against people that think the only merit of an art piece is whether it "fools the beholder". Or how they'll argue that "even if 99% of AI is 'slop' so is 99% of human art" to which I say; and what of it? Even if the hand drawn sonic inflation fart piece is revolting and offensive to the eyes, it's made by someone that cared enough to dedicate their time to its creation. And unlike an AI "artist", that artist still has the capacity for growth. While the person using the AI "tool", no matter how much they touch up on it and try to pretend that fixing the hands is somehow tantamount to learning to be an artist despite not understanding 99% of the process, for instance how to decide on a decent composition or how to include details with intent, just won't improve. Not to mention, as you mentioned, the AI won't ever iterate beyond what human creativity creates. If everyone followed the AI stans philosophy, "got with the times", and fully incorporated AI tools into their workflow, art would stagnate and lose its purpose.
