"Voting with our dollars" is not going to affect any change. AI companies will be deeply embedded with the government, not just through lobbying, as they already are, but through trillions in funding due to the national security importance and world domination interest. Also, large companies like google who are likely to get the government printed debt grants, are going to monopolize on the compute and progress. The biggest danger right now in AI is humans. Our greed is the weakest and most immediate link.
