The problem is everyone in America can agree and laws can be changed, but, if China or another country who doesn't care uses AI, doesn't have to abide by your laws, then...what do you do exactly?
The conversation around AI has to move forward from right or wrong to what now, the genie is out of the bottle, AI companies can go bust but the tech is known and people will use it.
