While AI has the capacity to eliminate jobs, under our current economic system i.e. capitalism, it’s ability to do so is limited based upon the negative impact it has on the consumer market. Consumers are also employees. Consumers can’t purchase goods and services if they don’t have jobs. Either the capitalist system must change to accommodate the trend towards AI displacing workers or the use of AI to replace workers will reach a definite limit.
