I think we should calm down... humanity has ALWAYS NEEDED INFERENCE, checking reality and making sure what we're thinking comports with it. AI can't really do that yet at a speed greater than human observation and input. So even if all the AIs in the world thought for 14,000 years straight in their own timescales, all they would figure out is a completely self-consistent theory of everything we currently know about reality. If they were able to sense and interpret the world themselves, then it might be different.
