The same can be said for AI though, for example the guy who put his wife through AI to train her into Supergirl. The intention of the artist on the subject and how they feel about the subject shines through in the composition as well and can be seen in the piece itself if you care to look for it. Honestly, the image by AI and Van Gogh look the same to me because both are just street scenes. You can add intention on Van Gogh's side but you can also add intention on the AI side as well. What if the prompted SPECIFICALLY prompted for a street scene at night with no lights to symbolize the promoters emotional loneliness and rejection from society as there is no warmth or light in the image? What if the prompter also SPECIFIED in the prompt that light should only come from the stars to more align the price with a reverence for nature contrasted against the cold imagery of man-made objects?
Of course you can prompt AI to do anything so if you make a detached, unspecified prompt then the finished product will look detached and soul-less. But if you refine the prompt and really describe the vision in your head DELIBERATELY then you will get identical soul to real life.
