Very few of us today are doing the jobs our grandparents did — and even fewer are living the same hard lives they endured. We don’t live in the same poor housing or the same closed, fearful societies. It was unions that built the middle class — by standing together, they won us weekends, holidays, and paid leave.
Now we see those gains slipping away — not because of AI, but because the wealthy want us to mourn progress instead of demanding fairness. What wage is AI paid? None. It’s a tool — an extension of human capability. The question isn’t whether AI destroys jobs, but who owns the benefits it creates.
Don’t listen to Bernie’s doom-mongering. He’s telling workers to despair while politicians and billionaires continue to siphon off the wealth we create. AI should serve people — not replace them. If we stand together, demand fair taxation, real rights, and shared progress, we can ensure this next revolution lifts everyone — not just the elite.
