The way these AI generators would be totally fine if everyone was just honest about what they were doing and NOT selling things astounds me. Like… "Look I generated this four-headed dog" is so much different from "Here, pay me $500 for this four-headed dog".
That's my opinion.
Edit:
As a writer and roleplayer (think D&D without the dice), having character references is invaluable. Sometimes Picrew and other avatar creator sites just don't do the trick. I would never try to claim it as mine or sell it; I'm always extremely transparent whenever I share references of any kind.
If only everyone could just be completely honest about it.
Also, I enjoy drawing. I'm just… Frustratingly bad at it, lol. This is just my two-cents as a writer and an artist (although I hesitate to refer to myself as an artist, I don't often draw) myself.
