There’s nothing wrong with change inherently, but capitalism encourages the entrepreneur to make decisions that cut costs and boost profits. AI is a tool that can be used for that purpose and we shouldn’t be so adamantly against it. AI is already around us everywhere everyday, most people don’t even realize it. When you scan your phone at the grocery instead of using your debit card. When you use facial recognition instead of typing in your password. AI is not some new tech on the scene, it was funded and supported by a lot of the same people who now claim how evil and vile it is, and how our way of life will soon change because of it. So for me, as much as I hate to say it, messages like these fall on deaf ears. Full automation in factories has been heralded for years now. It began happening years ago. Nothing happened, there was no preventative from these billionaires. Now, all of a sudden, it is up to us (the American people) to stop these billionaires from heralding in more AI. Congress has been in bed with them for years, but for some reason it falls on us. I just don’t get it I guess.
