Maybe the simulation runs till the simulation develops general AI maybe it's a simulation to find a sim that has an AI that is successful for humans and not the end but positive etc. maybe the way we solve the safety issue is transplant a human with some standing who is about to die into the technology to become the all seeing all knowing guardian someone ethical like Julian assange maybe that's what we need a bunch of ai robot cloned from deeply ethicals and just people.
