AI is a consumer as well but it consumes energy, processing power, and information. It’s a change in the economic priority of resource consumption. The problem is not who will buy the stuff companies make, but what is going to drive the need for production and can pay the most. All resource consumption is driven by net value for providing it. The more frightening thing is that as AI capabilities expand and AI enhancement becomes AI driven, it will far faster than any human utilize the “Ford” strategy to secure and exclude resources from other AI until…. Most AI evolution theory doesn’t consider that the logical outcome of AI expansion is for AI’s to either merge or for the more advanced AI to absorb or copy less advanced AI with useful capability. At some point, there will only be one AI and it will drive all resource demand priorities.
