This is all bullsh*t. Jobs are disappearing because of a collapsing economy. AI, like this guy bullsh*ts. I should know, I have been using it for some time now for programming and tech support and even dabbled with it for some machining issues. Don't get me wrong, it is a useful tool but because it randomly bullsh*ts, you have to be skilled in what you are using it for and to ignore its bullsh*t and guide it around the bad parts and try and coax the truth out of it. It therefore will not replace skilled people and firms that fire all their skilled people to rely exclusively on it will come a big cropper. However, like previous forms of automation, it will expand the productivity of already skilled people and thus that way, will contribute to some job losses.
The real danger it presents is that becoming skilled requires one to start doing the donkey work but if AI is doing the donkey work, where will those starter jobs be? In other words, when this generation of skilled people passes away, then it is game over.
