IT WAS BEING DRIVEN BY A HUMAN FROM A REMOTE LOCATION!! Read the entire story before questioning why the autonomous feature which wasn't engaged at the time failed. If it were engaged the accident wouldve been avoided but it was real person driving the car from a different location.
