AI will be the machine that enables total control of the world by a few. For example, you can look to China even now. China has 600,000,000 cameras monitoring its citizens constantly. As soon as a person steps ontp a sidewalk in the city, the cameras recognize their face and track them as they walk. The government can locate any person in the country in one second. I suppose these things apply to cities but China can force people from the rural areas to the cities. And China has a social credit score system so any deviating citizen can be deprived of work and food. China recently placed an additional 100,000 people on its blacklist.
