I'm concerned that there are no moves to regulate the technology companies creating general A.I. The US government is basically saying, "ok let's just leave it up to the companies to decide how safe they want to make it". Given that companies are driven by profits, and speed to market, this is concerning. We already saw what technology does to our privacy and online safety, and now we're introducing a technology that frankly cannot be compared to anything we've ever had before.
