Some people are concerned that AI, especially 'strong' AGI, will become sentient, or, at least become so powerful that it is impossible to prove that it is NOT sentient/sapient...
But, I think that the REAL existential/philosophical challenges presented by such AI is not the question of AI sapience- it is.. . Are WE actually sentient/sapient, or is human consciousness just an evolutionary necessary illusion?
(like free will... there is no such thing, and, unless one resorts to magic, it absolutely cannot exist.)
