These doomsday visions are nothing new. The same was said in the past with electricity, with the Internet, or with computers: that jobs would disappear and everything would turn negative. Reality proved the opposite — jobs changed, new sectors emerged, and productivity increased.
And if “everyone” really lost their jobs, AI companies themselves would collapse too, because nobody would be able to pay for subscriptions, services, or consume anything at all. It would be absurd to think that companies investing billions in this technology would design a system that destroys the very foundation of their business: paying customers.
In short, these speeches sound more like apocalyptic theories than realistic analysis. History shows that technology transforms, but it never wipes out employment or society entirely.
