As somebody who recently moved to the field of implementing and debugging weird timing issues and multi-chip communications where AI even did not start to give any useful outputs. I can be probably calm. And I hate writing boring data manipulation code especially when some relatively simple operations result in many lines of code. AI like CatGPT still tends to struggle in those fields even on isolated problems. So I am looking forward to having AI integrated in IDE to do all the boring stuff, write this boring code, do refactor, and check for errors that current analysis cannot spot.
People ask where will new developers get experience to be such level developers, but in my experience, all colleagues at higher levels have it as a hobby. They have their personal projects, sometimes crazy complicated, just to have new challenges and they began in elementary school years.
