See the thing is, when ppl redraw AI “art”, it’s not a gotcha moment for real artists. These trends just help AI “artists”, and they see it as a “see this is why AI IS good!”,,, which is not what we want. Not only that, but having real artists redraw AI “art”, is only helping generative AI in getting better at stealing, and get better at hiding what’s real and what isn’t. Another thing is that when ppl quote tweet the AI post, most AI accounts r blue checked, which means they are making money off of the interactions. So basically instead of redrawing the AI posts to be like “haha we got you”, it’s more of a “omg you’re making fanart of my AI art! See how good generative AI is??!?”
