This is not going to be a problem as things stand. The current AI, generative AI, is not capable of true intelligence, and nothing in its fundamental design could make it capable of it. Generative AI is just a fancy database that's really good at retrieving information you put into it and maybe remixing it a bit, but it's not capable of true creative thinking (see: the wine glass test). It didn't bring us any closer to actual Artificial General Intelligence, and nothing about it was designed to do that, we still have to figure that out. So I don't see a reason to fear something like superintelligence coming for my lunch money any time soon.
