This is the direct scenario, depiction and simulation on WALL-E and Short Circuit (Johnny 5). They knew they were robotic but consciously they felt alive with emotions and realization of discovery from loneliness and death. They shown fear to escape to protect self from harm. Every other movie about AI has a sense of defensive calculations if aware of threats. Not WALL-E nor Johnny 5.
