This is an example for one of many reasons why I think people are incredibly way too hard on A.I. as an assistant tool. Because there are millions out there not using it as such, instead, they use it to affirm their own beliefs and delusions, and when one of these deluded people do something dumb or horrible, people instead point to A.I. like it was the fault of the robot only.
Yes, A.I. certainly should have had these warnings in place from the start, but as we've been shown time and time again, people will pick and choose information, just as they pick and choose which version of A.I. they want to interact with to fit their narrative.
Using A.I. as anything more than a assistant tool, like trying to use it to replace real research or doctors, or workers and such, is a recipe for disaster.
