Isn't..umm...Isn't all this footwork the reason paralegals exist??? Even on chat GPT it self admits that it can mainly only be used as an assistant for professions like Lawyers and Doctors. It can find information and research notes faster if you tell it specifically what the parameters are. Then you have your paralegal check the veracity of the results, the A.I has already saved HOURS of at least locating a list of cases that relate to what you are litigating. The issue usually arises when you want it to actually write a document. When writing documents, that is where the A.I goes to fantasy land and treats the document as if it were a sample not a finished copy. Such as asking it to write a resume for Darth Vader. It makes things up to fill out the document. Not only that but all you have to do is ask it about A.I replacing these professions and it will state that it does not understand the ethics needed to do these jobs. In the end. Great for fetching databased info, Great for storing notes and research and being able to easily relay it back to the professional to keep things in order or remind them of aspects they may have forgotten. Not so good at going to court and litigating cases.
