I am a professor (with prior industry dev experience) at a large state university, where I teach software engineering and various other comp sci courses. Everything you said in this video regarding AI and writing your own code is something I stress to my students every semester. Unfortunately, many students are using AI to write their code challenges and then failing their in-class coding assessments. In fact, many students have admitted to me directly that they are using co-pilot or chatGPT to write their programs. I am going to play this video in my classes from now on and hope that it reaches a few students and encourages them to learn to code first.
Note: I will say that after reading some of the comments, I am relieved to see how many people refuse to let AI do the work and are excited to solve problems on their own. There is hope for humanity yet! 😁
