I genuinely think that making deepfake porn an offence can only relieve a bit what in reality is the problem. With this, I don't mean is not going to help, surely it will. But the only definitive solution to sort out once for all the problem is banning porn. And, where governments think it may be too much for unknown reasons, simply force any disgraceful company profiting from porn to be first of all listed in a register with all the necessary details, then create a paid membership as the only way to access the websites, and prosecute/ban any other unregistered company/website that is distributing the content.
