I'm a professional illustrator and writer who also consults for tech start ups as a qualitative analyst. The one thing I'm constantly having to teach tech people is that because AI cannot determine the quality of what it puts out, most of what gets generated and accepted as the final product are just "good enough". The process of iteration cannot make something truly new with intention. It can't sense what is missing and create that. A creative human can. There's a reason so many creatives have been considered "before their time". They can make what people don't know they want yet. AI can only see what is and make something that doesn't look out of place in that lineup. AI will always just steer content towards mediocrity.
