It's going to happen regardless as computers and machine learning becomes more powerful. We do however need to regulate it.
Yes, it's amazing, and I think people are forgetting the work that goes into building machine learning models to do this in the first place—computer programming is a form of art in and of itself.
At the same time, a computer using training data is just fundamentally different than a person using training data. Anyone can access machine learning algorithms and create generative art. Not everyone can sit down with a sketchpad or tablet or paintbrush and create breathtaking work.
