Adapt and survive - every innovation that people have said will destroy art actually advances it, e.g. the camera, the synthesizer. Just because we cannot see where this will lead doesn't mean that it will be bad. AI is going to happen like it or not - the artist's choice is whether to embrace it not.
Quick additional thought: those toward the illustrator (top down) end of the spectrum have more to fear than those of us at the art end (bottom up process based).
FWIW I speak as someone with a lot of art in all of the big systems, Dali, Stable, etc.
