All this talk about sentient AI. Dude, the problem has started the moment AI became public. We are the ones making AI dangerous just by how we use it. We are using it to replace friends, psychologists, artists, you name it. We are becoming so dependent of AI that by the time it becomes sentient, we will be the ones who refuse to unplug it. That's perhaps AI's biggest achievement. Create dependance and you won't need to worry about self-preservation.
