I think our survival as creatives is going to hinge on the people who consume what we create. Readers will have to take a stand and say they don't want to read something a human didn't write. I don't know that I will ever finish my trilogy and self-publish it, but if I do, I've already decided that my stance on artwork for the cover is that I will only work with a human artist who isn't using AI to do the art.
