Well, observing what the non-human intelligent beings have done shows what will also happen with us. We will eventually develop the capabilities to create robotic biological beings that operate on AI and are designed with careful measures to serve the humanity's needs as the workhorse. Combining their capabilities with tools and devices, humans will eventually no longer need to have jobs as part of their lives and be liberated. Superiority and value of humans will be not measured based on their intellects, as intellectual rigor would be deemed as a form of labor, where the differentiating value of humans will come from their existence in different realms and dimensions (ie having a spirit and other attributes irreplaceable by raw intellect and data). Humans will therefore have a chance to evolve faster. This is how the alien races have progressed through this stage. What's called the "Nordics" and the "greys" represent well on this concept for humans and biological robotic AI creations.
