I mostly use it to get better at art. An example would be I enjoy drawing anime characters and I've wanted to get better at realism I just have a really hard time with it, so I use the AI apps to basically create a real ish looking person for my to draw.
Also no I don't think this tool would be used to put designers out of buisness I think it can be used to instead help the designers improve on their own art or get ideas by just typing a word in and getting inspiration. This is just my opinion on the subject.
