Genuinely what is the point of gen AI? The only reason for its existence is a cheap way to replace people's jobs. That's the entire idea, AI can be a tool but instead of having tools such as training it to detect cancers on x-rays we have thing that's invested in to steal jobs until they realise it's cheaper and better to just hire people because you can actually get what you want with an artist because the image can be altered to fit what you want but you can't really edit AI because you just have to keep generating until you get something you kinda want. Not to mention this tech can be used for evil such as AI porn and now photorealistic photo type images so if we make it believable enough you can ruin people's lives.
