This episode missed the core argument for me. Unfortunately I can see that refelceted in other comments as well. The facts needed to be made more clear with data to support it in a way that the general public with no prior knowledge would have been able to understand just how real this issues is.
The real takeaway for me personally is that the public has become an unpaid test subject for beta projects we never signed up for, whether it's government surveillance or Tesla's "self-driving" experiments/claims that give false sense of confort to drivers.
We all should be notified and give consent before new technologies are tested on us in the real world. Doesnt matter who makes them. Our govermemt especially who has been testing everything on us for centuries from poisoning our air to redirecting our water supply or selling our data.
Tesla marketed their cars in a way that made people over-trust the system, then cut corners on essential safety features other manufacturers use, saving billions while the public paid the price.
