This might be a hot take, but... I think this situation is faked.
You're telling me that person profited off of those AI versions without even removing the AI watermarks? And those "straight out of a drama show" DMs.. Yeah, there's probably a reason why they read like that! Cause this person made it up. They seem young, so I will give them benefit of the doubt. But this whole thing seems very staged.
