The topic/conversation that folks ain't ready to have is about Auto Insurance (incl. Self - Driving Vehicles). I'm going to go out on a limb and say that, once the vehicle's factory warranty expires, these insurance companies will stop providing coverage and essentially the driver will be on their own! As technology (incl. Robots, Artificial Intelligence, etc.) ages, it tends to become slower, unreliable, and so on (sometimes), which leads me to believe that finding insurance for said self - driving vehicle will be near impossible as time goes on! Similar to Electric Vehicles (EV's) - once their factory warranty on the battery powertrain expires, you goin' have everyone running for the hills, because the cost to fix the electrical powertrain components is going to cost more than what the car is actually worth!
