Sadly, Crystal has the right instincts, but gets all the tech wrong. Yes, there have been AI the tried blackmail, or self survival, but only when it was prompted to. We do understand how AI "think" (they don't really think, per se.). We have tooling to see their "thoughts". We can selectively edit their weights.
Saagar is also right, that still the LLM tech hasn't had the massive leap forward the tech bro's have been expecting. It's all just incremental improvements and tool use.
AI is going to be another internet. Massive job loss, but also whole new classes of jobs that need doing. The reason the AI companies don't tout this is THEY want to be the ones that provide those services. Ever tried to support a nurse with an EMR? Yeah, AI not going to cut it.
