This isn’t yet understood by all big players.
I work for one and as of today AI is pushed massively and unreflected. Management expects productivity increases up to 1000% (no joke). To keep in business one has to switch to vibe coding, no choice, your co-workers do it you have to follow or be history. Nobody knows what the code actually does, if it works fine, if not ask the AI to fix it. Code quality drops, but quick rapid prototyping can be achieved. This is what management wants.
I still fear we are the last generation of engineers which learned to code with hand and mind.
I also fear it makes us stupid and lazy, instead of understanding a problem just let the AI engage.
Young engineers will never learn proper coding and problem solving anymore.
